Gourmet
food is an integral part of Amber House. Beginning
at 7:30 a.m. early risers can help themselves to fresh,
special blend coffee available on the landing outside
the guest rooms. Each morning your innkeeper, Mary Schlueter, who
is a professional chef, will serve a multi-course
gourmet breakfast in the dining room. Of course,
we are glad to accommodate any special dietary needs –
just let us know your requirements when making your
reservation! Complimentary beverages and snacks
are always available in the Butler’s pantry and 2nd
floor guest refrigerator.
Chef Mary Schlueter was recently honored to receive an invitation from award-winning wine expert and author Natalie MacLean to post some of her recipes on Natalie’s website, “Nat Decants” and she will be featured in one of Natalie’s newsletters. You can view Mary’s recipes as well as those of other chefs and use the excellent food/wine pairing program by checking out the website.
